After a stellar blowout victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics stay within the Central Division and square off against the Chicago Bulls on the tail end of their back-to-back.
Coming into the night with a record of 9-6, the shamrocks slot in at third in the Eastern Conference standings and tie for the sixth-best record in the entire association.
The Bulls, on the other hand, find themselves slotted in at the conference’s 10th seed with a record of 7-9 and, though they have won three of the last four outings, many believe the team is simply not good enough to stay intact throughout the entirety of the season and, at some point, could look to sell off some of their contracts in an attempt to better position themselves for the future.
The Boston Celtics could find a few TPE candidates on the Chicago Bulls
Should they wind up being sellers at some point in the future, the Boston Celtics could consider bringing aboard some specific talents, as they still possess a luxurious $28.5 million TPE and could use for some added firepower in specific areas on the roster.
As far as the Houdini is concerned, there are 3 specific Bulls that could be of use to the Cs:
Boston Celtics TPE target No. 1) Tomas Satoransky
This league is predicated on the long-ball and, though the Boston Celtics have improved in this area from last season, they could still use for some added firepower, especially off the pine.
As things currently stand, the team ranks 13th in the league in 3-point percentage (37.4) however, this middle of the pack placement was significantly impacted by the unit’s 43 percent performance from downtown during their last outing against the Cavaliers.
A low-cost, highly efficient addition for the Celtics to help improve their long-range game could come in the shape of Chicago’s fifth-year wing, Tomas Satoransky.
Currently in the final year of his deal with the franchise, the 29-year-old has found himself posting solid averages of 5.2 points, five assists, and 1.4 steals a game on 53 percent shooting from the floor and 43 percent shooting from deep in just 18.2 minutes of action.
With the team’s desire for more of a youth-movement, despite not being of old age necessarily, he does find himself as being one of the elders on this team and, with just $10 million left on his contract, could be viewed as a somewhat valuable trade chip for the Bulls if he can bring back assets to help them better build for the future.
Not the biggest name by any means, but Tomas Satoransky is a player with a specific skill set contenders would love to have available and, because of this, the Cs should keep an eye on his status with the franchise moving forward.
