Potential Boston Celtics target No. 1) Troy Daniels

Troy Daniels may go down in history as the G-League success story who helped the Houston Rockets win a playoff game during the late Francisco Garcia days.

Since then, the undrafted two-guard from VCU has bounced around the league, playing either spot or rotation minutes for seven teams in seven years. Despite struggling to crack the rotation last season on a fairly crowded Lakers bench, his track record shooting the ball has been well documented and he is a capable NBA rotation piece.

Shooting in this league comes at a premium. Daniels is still likely to at least get a 10-day contract around or before deadline time, as teams load up for a playoff push.

Again, Daniels has struggled to shoot the ball at an elite level over the past two seasons, but the opportunity still wasn’t there given the team context. During his time in Phoenix and Memphis, he strung together two consecutive seasons of high volume & high-efficiency shooting, where he ranked in the top 30 in three-point gravity.

Known for his ability to space, especially out of the corner, Daniels would pair nicely next to Ojeleye as those two could bolster each corner enough to open up those crucial Teague and Pritchard driving lanes.

Noted as a high character locker room presence, Daniels is my top pick for the Boston Celtics as an around the margins shooter that could help this team.
