Boston Celtics target No. 2) Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic

Next up, we have a player that we at HH have actually discussed the Boston Celtics targeting via trade quite a few times, even as recently as earlier this week.

Thus far into the season, the recently developed stretch big is posting impressive all-around averages of 14.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and just shy of a steal per game on 48 percent shooting from the floor and a career-high 36 percent shooting from deep.

He would easily be an upgrade to the lineup at the four and, quite frankly, would make this offense even scarier than they already are, as he would provide the Cs a stellar pick-and-roll participant that would bring on help-defense from any opponent when in close proximity to the rim which, in turn, would likely only create cleaner looks for his teammates out on the perimeter.

Greg Swartz — the author of B/R’s article — went on to praise the idea of bringing the high-flying 25-year-old aboard in Beantown, citing his fit in the rotation and skillset as being optimal for how the team would like to operate:

"Gordon would be a terrific starting power forward for Boston, able to defend multiple positions while allowing Jayson Tatum to play more on the wing. He’s also a willing passer that would help bump up the Celtics’ awful assist rate."

Adding Aaron Gordon to a starting core consisting of Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown would be an entertaining sight to see and, if he becomes available, Boston’s front office should strongly consider going after him.

Verdict: Pursue
