The Boston Celtics are the No. 2 team in Bleacher Report’s power rankings this week, but do they deserve to be placed so high?

After winning four-straight games, the Boston Celtics are looking like one of the best teams in the NBA. The minds over at Bleacher Report certainly seem to think so, as well.

In their latest power rankings, B/R ranked the Cs No. 2 in the league, trailing only the reigning NBA champions, the Los Angeles Lakers. Thanks to the team’s current winning streak, they now have the best record in the Eastern Conference and sit atop the conference, mirroring the Lakers in the West.

Though COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on the league over the last few days, Boston was riding a wave of positivity over the last week before having to cancel their last couple of games. The immediate future of this season is up in the air right now, but there’s plenty of reason for C’s fans to be optimistic after what Boston has shown the last couple weeks.

Is this just a hot start, though?

By this, we mean, can the Boston Celtics maintain this momentum and remain atop the East in the long run? Are the Cs actually the second-best team in the NBA right now?
