The Boston Celtics have arguably underperformed to start the 2020-21 season, but there have been a few bright spots on the roster that should be considered for larger roles moving forward.

Through seven games played, the Boston Celtics have managed to muster together a 4-3 record, placing them sixth-overall in the Eastern Conference standings.

A tough start to the season was expected, given their rather challenging initial slate of games coupled with the fact that they’d be without All-Star point guard Kemba Walker for at least the first month of action.

Despite their just above .500 record, there have been quite a few bright-spots from this year’s Cs squad.

In fact, there have been several players on the roster who have proven they are worthy of an increased role moving forward. We’re here to discuss 3 Cs who have thrust themselves into such a conversation:

Boston Celtics player No. 1) Jeff Teague

While Jeff Teague may not have been the sexiest of signings this past offseason, he is a valuable veteran who is already showing his worth and impact on this championship-aspiring Boston Celtics squad.

Through seven games, the 32-year-old is posting averages of 7.4 points, 2.7 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game on a whopping 58 percent shooting from deep.

Specifically on offense, Teague has helped the C’s bench in various aspects, including upping their 3-point percentage from 28th (31.8) to fifth (39.7) and jumping to 14th in offensive rating (57.1).

Playing his best when logging 20-29 minutes (8.8 points, three assists on 63 percent shooting from deep), continuing to up his playtime as he gets more acclimated in Brad Stevens’ system will be something Boston will want to strongly consider.
