The Houdini floated the question, and Boston Celtics fans answered it. Just who does the Cs fanbase want to see play more in 2021?
At 4-3, the Boston Celtics are off to a middling start. Quite honestly, I think they have been borderline disappointing, but the reality that Kemba Walker is absent and that this team is adjusting on the fly keeps me from thinking too negatively.
While I have certainly thought making changes to this roster could certainly improve the team when they are fully healthy, I promise not to be critical of the team after wins.
Instead, the Houdini wants to know how this team can get better from within…and we wanted to know what you thought:
What players do YOU believe are deserving of bigger roles based off the C's first 7 games?! #Celtics

There’s a consensus among Celtics Nation…

Williams... I've seen a few touch passes and deflections to cutters that are very Walton like and I like it.

Robert Williams has started off hot this season, torching nets to the tune of 77 percent shooting from the field. He has also upped his rebounding totals to almost six per game.
It’s not hard to see why fans would want an extended look at their 23-year-old big man, especially with Daniel Theis struggling out of the gates.
Another fan had an interesting suggestion to preserve Boston’s stars:
I think that Brad has to find a way to reduce JT & JB's minutes with this season being condensed. I don't want them worn down come the playoffs. They may need another 3 or 4 to make that happen. The options at those spots are not ready for bigger minutes.

While that is an intriguing suggestion, the second unit will need to show that it can buoy the starters on a more consistent basis. Relying heavily on the likes of first-year and second-year players is a minor gamble at this point, but it’s on brad Stevens to make us all feel less strongly about that notion.
As always, we thank you for your opinion. There’s no Hardwood Houdini (and there’s no Boston Celtics) without you, the fans.
