The Boston Celtics come into tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers looking to redeem themselves after a late collapse on Sunday.

While the 2020-21 campaign started out in exhilarating fashion for the Boston Celtics with a buzzer-beating victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on opening night, since then they have dropped two straight and find themselves slotted in the ninth seed out east with a record of 1-2.

Tonight’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers provides the shamrocks with a “redemption” game, as they fell to them just two nights ago to the tune of 108-107 after a missed last-second jumper by Jayson Tatum.

Trying to avoid a 1-3 start for the first time since 2015-16, Boston will want to capture a victory tonight and thrust themselves back into the .500 category.

In order for them to accomplish this feat, however, they’ll want to hone in on these 3 keys to victory:

Boston Celtics key No. 1) Jayson Tatum must get off to a hot start

Coming into Sunday’s game, Jayson Tatum getting off to a hot start was also one of our keys to victory for the Boston Celtics, as he went the entirety of the first quarter of their Christmas Day bout against Brookly without a single point scored.

Unfortunately, this key was not accomplished, as the 22-year-old posted a mere two points on just two attempts.

For someone of his ilk, this is unacceptable.

Being an All-NBA player who is coming off a 2019-20 campaign where he ranked within the top-15 in terms of points per game, Tatum getting just two shots up in the first is not something that should be seen as a normal occurrence.

Being the leader of the Cs, it is up to him to get the ball rolling early and setting the tone for the rest of his team.

A hot start will be a welcomed sight to see after having two consecutive slow ones.
