Fansided’s Space City Scoop believes the Boston Celtics have the best trade offer for disgruntled superstar James Harden, who wants out of Houston.

Easily the most entertaining thing going on right now in the NBA world is the James Harden drama that seemingly adds new wrinkles to the tale every day. The newest wrinkle involved the Boston Celtics being added into the mix of potential destinations for the Houston Rockets’ biggest cultural burden.

Harden is all but forcing his way out of H-Town, and Beantown could be a good landing spot for the “Beard”. In fact, FanSided’s Space City Scoop believes the Celtics have the best offer for the 12-year veteran:

"The Celtics have sneakily made the Eastern Conference Finals three of the past four seasons but an injection of James Harden could see them finally breakthrough. Jayson Tatum is non-negotiable, he is one of the best young players in the league, and his value on the market would be higher than Harden’s.However, Jaylen Brown is an extremely valuable trade chip in his own right. He’s entering his prime, he’s cost controlled for multiple seasons, and he can help your team make a playoff push right away.Brown recently turned 24, which gives him more upside but the bar he set last season makes him a borderline All-Star at worst for the foreseeable future. Marcus Smart, while not the offensive player Brown is, is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and is under contract for the next two seasons."

Boston bested both the Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets as squads that could realistically attain Harden. If you ask the Houdini, I’d tell you that the Nuggets are the team with the best offer, because the Cs are most certainly not going to dangle Jaylen Brown in a deal given his successes.

Toronto is a fringe-contender for Harden, and the Portland Trailblazers can create a sneaky good trade package. That said, Danny Ainge knows he has the chips to get a blockbuster done, and if he can avoid letting go of one of his core foundational pieces (Brown or Tatum), the conversation is worth having.
