Aaron Gordon

As evidenced by the photo above, Aaron Gordon has done some of his best work athletically on the basketball court alongside members of the Boston Celtics. Who else in their right mind would (or even could) dunk over the Senegalese supergiant Tacko Fall?

Only Aaron Gordon can.

Currently miscast as a small forward on a supersized Orlando Magic team, Gordon has never seen greener pastures than O-Town. This is not to say there are dynasties in his future like Shaquille O’Neal experienced when he bolted, but Gordon’s game is capped as long as Nikola Vucevic is scooping most of the rebounds and Evan Fournier is jacking up 14 shots per game.

Boston has the means to get in the Gordon action via their $28.5 million trade exception created by the Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade that landed the one-time All-Star in the Queen City on a $30 million per year deal.

With Kemba Walker absent, Gordon can provide an offensive punch, though the hope is that his volume scoring can turn into a more efficient output than what he has been doing in Orlando.

If a few future draft picks is what it takes to improve the Cs out of the gates, then that is a sacrifice that must be made. This team cannot afford to take a step back this season.
