Boston Celtics: 2 wings Cs could pursue with veteran’s minimum

Player to pursue using veteran’s minimum No. 2) Kyle Korver
Fourth on the all-time 3-pointer’s list, Kyle Korver is coming into his 17th season in the league ringless and, at this very moment, jobless.
The 39-year-old sharpshooter has had himself one of the greatest careers as far as second-round picks are concerned. Now, as he enters what likely will be his final season in the league, he may want to have the opportunity to compete one last time for an NBA championship.
The Boston Celtics should consider bringing on Korver, obviously, for his long-range shooting (42.9 percent 3-point shooter for his career), but also for his leadership skills, which were on full display in the NBA Bubble during last year’s campaign when he became one of the most vocal players in regard to speaking out against racial oppression and the unjust existence of white privilege.
"“My hope is that I can gain information from my black friends and teammates and then take those messages to people on the other side who maybe don’t get the chance to hear them,” he said. “It’s a tricky space for me, to be in the middle, but at the same time it’s important work for me.”"
Right alongside Korver on this front during the bubble was, of course, Jaylen Brown, who famously drove from Boston to Atlanta to join peaceful protests in his home state.
Adding on the likes of Korver toa veteran’s minimum contract could prove to be beneficial for the team’s long-range shooting — both with him on the floor as well as him coaching the youngsters on how to properly stroke it — as well as for the moral of their social justice fighters currently residing on the roster.
