The NBA offseason has not reached the final stop just yet. With the train still moving, here are 3 Boston Celtics who could still wind up elsewhere before the season tips off.

Just when you think you’re done, the NBA offseason pulls you back in. Last night, the Houston Rockets continued what has been a busy offseason by swapping out Russell Westbrook for John Wall and a 2023 first-round draft pick. In a matter of seconds, a superstar point guard swap went down and the Boston Celtics sprung to my mind like clockwork.

Nevermind the fact that the Cs have a star point guard of their own that has been in the rumors recently. Apparently, they talked to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls about a deal:

"According to Harper, Ainge tried to move into the top-5 of the 2020 NBA Draft by using All-Star point guard Kemba Walker as trade bait. Harper lists the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, who had the fourth and fifth overall picks in the draft respectively, as the two teams that the Celtics approached for a trade."

Given their involvement in the Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade, and the general unpredictability of the NBA offseason, the Houdini believes Celtics fans should keep their eyes on these 3 players as potential trade pieces in a last-second offseason trade:

Carsen Edwards

There’s no specific reason Boston would need to ship off the 2019 #33 pick in the NBA Draft. That said, Carsen Edwards doesn’t currently own a specific role within the offense. Having spent much of the season with the NBA G-League, Edwards somewhat fell short of expectations in his rookie season.

It was his blazing hot start to the summer league and preseason that had fans thinking he could contribute from the jump. Now that we know he couldn’t, fans are growing restless having a roster spot used up by a guy who was seemingly replaced by Payton Pritchard in the rotation.
