Golden State Warriors

After drafting James Wiseman with the #2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors seemingly fixed their center problem…right?

Well, if you look past Wiseman on the depth chart, your answer might rhyme with row.

Kevon Looney was a steady championship hand in years’ past for the Dubs, but injuries have taken much of his athleticism away. Marquise Chriss really hasn’t proven much throughout his NBA career, now in his second spot after flaming out in Phoenix.

The “Time Lord” can help out.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves brought back all of their key pieces and added several new ones. Anthony Edwards is the most notable new face, while Malik Beasley and Juancho Hernangomez were both retained on multi-year extensions.

Ed Davis was the most notable add at the center position, but there is room for both another big body and youth on a team that is led by two 25-and-under stars in Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell.

Williams fits the timeline well and figures to potentially benefit from being fazed out by Brad Stevens’ offense.

The Boston Celtics could potentially find value at the end of Minnesota’s roster, and finding the right deal shouldn’t be hard given the talent at the end of the TWolves roster.
