Though Danny Ainge may have already missed out on an opportunity to land Myles Turner, there are still some other ways for the Boston Celtics to land the center.

Though they may have come into the 2020 NBA offseason with an enormous amount of promise, thus far into it the Boston Celtics have managed to greatly underwhelm.

Kicked off by the draft, where the team did manage to bring on some talented players, but not necessarily addressing the positions that they needed to, and then followed up by the chain of events that led to the departure of Gordon Hayward in search of greener pastures in Charlotte, this year’s between-season period has started off a bit rough.

And yes, while the team has made some savvy moves over the past several days such as nabbing Jeff Teague off the open market and inking Jayson Tatum to a 4-year max extension, some may go as far as to say the team’s offseason has proven to be somewhat of a failure up to this point in time.

Perhaps the biggest shortcoming of the offseason has been the team’s failure to acquire the reportedly very attainable Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers. According to numerous sources, the Cs were well within reach of bringing the big man to Beantown in a proposed sign-and-trade that would have sent Hayward to Indiana.

After this news broke, more reports started to come out stating that General Manager and President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge was looking for more than a package consisting of Turner and sharpshooter Doug McDermott, with some going as far as to say Boston was looking to acquire both the center and All-Star guard Victor Oladipo as well.

Of course, none of these proposed transactions actually ever ended up happening, and Hayward wound up spurning the shamrocks & the Pacers all together in favor of a $120 million payout with the Hornets — who can really blame him?

We here at the Houdin would have loved a trade such as the ones mentioned above to go down, and we’ve been making this fact known for quite some time. Apparently, Myles Turner sparked the intrigue of Ainge and Boston’s front office as well.

While the idea of attaining the 24-year-old center is most likely out of the question at this point, there are some other ways the team could pry him away from the Pacers should they still feel such a desire to do so.

Here are 2 realistic trades the Boston Celtics could still do to land Myles Turner:
