The Boston Celtics have made significant moves early in free agency, but the Houdini believes the Cs should still pursue these 3 free agents.

There have been roster losses, but the Boston Celtics have done an excellent job filling in the gaps of their depth chart early on in this truncated offseason.

While the early sting Cs fans are feeling about Gordon Hayward agreeing to a four-year max contract with the Charlotte Hornets are still fresh, we must remember that there would likely be an even greater backlash if that contract he had been signed had brought him back to Beantown instead.

Now the team has a more clearly defined pecking order, with their best player (Jayson Tatum) now being their most highly-compensated. That said, perhaps they could still pursue these free agents to fill out the fringes:

Kyle Korver

There isn’t a ton of suspicion as to why the Houdini would want to add Kyle Korver to the Celtics.

To eliminate some out there guesses that no one should be throwing out there, no it isn’t for his playmaking, rebounding, or athleticism. At 39 years of age, Korver is no longer someone that can be relied upon for long stretches.

He is a situational option for teams that need shooting in a pinch. Obviously, when it comes to the long-ball, few have ever done it better than Korver. His 42 percent shooting from downtown in 2019-20 proves that he still has it from the floor.

Adding a veteran who has been on several top teams in the past decade, including the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and of course, the Milwaukee Bucks last year is the exact win-now move Danny Ainge should be making.
