The 2020 NBA offseason is churning right along, and the Houdini has 3 bold predictions pertaining to the Boston Celtics.

We’re just under 48 hours into the 2020 NBA free agency period and, so far, the Boston Celtics have seemingly found their names mentioned within the rumor mill every two seconds.

Prior to the start of the free agency frenzy, C’s starting forward Gordon Hayward decided to opt-out of the final year of his $127 million contract and, in turn, was listed as an unrestricted free agent.

It took little time for him to find a taker — as was somewhat expected –, as the former All-Star landed a 4-year, $120 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets, while leaving Boston with nothing to show for his departure.

Now, as we move right along through this highly enjoyable time period, at some point we could expect news to break that involves the Celtics in a more positive manner. Unfortunately, that shoe has yet to drop, leaving our minds wandering, pondering on what could happen as time goes by.

Today, the Houdini shares with you our predictions about what may transpire this offseason in Boston:

Boston Celtics prediction No. 1) Team signs Aron Baynes

The idea of the Boston Celtics signing Aron Baynes this offseason has been one right atop our list of realistic things we wish to have happen.

Our prediction is quite simple: the two parties make this hypothetical a reality.

The Cs could certainly use for some added firepower within their rotation down low, especially now that a roster spot opened up with the recent Enes Kanter trade.

Proving to be even more than just an effective player during the 2019-20 season, Baynes is coming off of a career year whilst suiting up for the Phoenix Suns.

Playing in 42 games (28 starts) in 2019-20, the 33-year-old posted career highs of 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 48

He would certainly be a quality role player who can space the floor, grab boards, and simply help man the middle for the Cs with his massive physique (6-10, 260 pounds).
