Center Boston Celtics could target No. 3) Myles Turner

You know it.

I know it.

We ALL know it!

Myles Turner is the ideal center target the Boston Celtics should pursue this offseason.

Linked endlessly to the franchise seemingly since the end of the NBA season, the rumor has been that both the Indiana Pacers and Boston are mutually interested in players on each of their respective teams.

For the Cs, it’s Turner.

For Indy, it’s Hayward.

Now that the latter player has opted-out of the final year of his contract, he is expected to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent and, in turn, have the opportunity to sign anywhere he pleases.

Should he, too, want to return to his hometown team, a sign-and-trade could be a real possibility and, in turn, it could help both franchises acquire the player they reportedly highly covet.

If added to the roster, Turner would easily be the best option at the pivot.

On the season, the 24-year-old big posted solid averages of 12.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and a whopping 2.1 blocks per game on 46 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent shooting from deep.

A one-two punch within the center rotation between Myles Turner and Daniel Theis would be fantastic for this team moving forward and could give them enough firepower at the position to compete with virtually anyone else’s front court, both offensively and defensively.
