Boston Celtics: 5 potential landing spots for Gordon Hayward in free agency

Free-agent destination for Gordon Hayward No. 4) Atlanta Hawks
Just like many of the other teams mentioned, the Atlanta Hawks are a franchise recently rumored to be interested in acquiring Gordon Hayward this offseason.
According to Yahoo Sports writer Chris Hayes, Atlanta is seeking an alternative playmaker to incorporate alongside rising star Trae Young. Not only this, but they reportedly would love to have a veteran to help them compete for their first postseason berth in four years.
As we discussed in one of our latest pieces, the Hawks could even prove to be a fantastic sign-and-trade piece with the Boston Celtics:
"Hayward’s playstyle would be a fantastic plug alongside the All-Star point guard and the rest of their young core consisting of John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish, and Onyeka Okongwu. Interestingly enough, with the team’s decision to draft Okongwu with the sixth overall selection in last night’s draft, it could make their current starting forward in Collins that much more expendable, as he already was rumored to be a potential trade asset this offseason if the player and franchise find themselves far apart on contract extensions."
This would be one of the most ideal scenarios for the shamrocks with Gordon Hayward opting out, as bringing aboard the likes of John Collins would be a great solution to their frontcourt woes.
At 6-9, 235-pounds he could easily wind up being inserted into Boston’s lineup as their starting five, giving them a sound floor spacing & rim-protecting big to man the middle.
In 2019-20, the 23-year-old posted averages of 21.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game on 58 percent shooting from the floor and 40 percent shooting from deep.
For Boston, this would be one of the most ideal scenarios.
