Myles Turner

Myles Turner has been the top trade target for Hayward around these parts all offseason. He makes the most sense as a piece returned in a deal. That is likely a contributing factor as to why Sean Deveney sees a trade as likely:

"Sean Deveney of Heavy.com reported that league sources consider the Pacers to be “the favorite” to land Hayward. In that imaginary scenario, big man Myles Turner would likely head to Boston in return."

The tea leaves have seemed apparent all offseason is all I’m saying.

Dough McDermott

The former Creighton star has had a decent career in the NBA, bouncing around a few homes before recently signing a three-year contract with the Indiana Pacers. He will hold value as a second-unit sparkplug in the trade market, and in terms of replacing Hayward’s scoring, Doug McDermott can contribute quite a bit.

$7 million a year is manageable, and it is quite frankly a bargain deal Danny Ainge should demand as part of a larger package.

Jeremy Lamb

Jeremy Lamb is the matured version of what Romeo Langford is supposed to be. The only problem with that thinking is that Langford may never mature to what Lamb is at this very moment.

While it is certainly plausible, the reality is that it doesn’t matter. Ainge has a chance to make a package out of the three of these players for Hayward and a future pick (or two), and bringing on another 12 points per game will help bridge the gap Hayward’s void will leave.
