Why the Boston Celtics do it

Zach LaVine is the best player the Chicago Bulls have to offer, and his lineup fit in Boston could be quite smooth next to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. With him in place of Kemba Walker, the Cs can hand Marcus Smart the starting point guard duty and have of the league’s scintillating wing troops.

Thaddeus Young would serve as both a small-ball center and backup power forward. He is not the same player he was even two years ago but he still has a legitimate chance to contribute as a defensive stopper in a Cs system that has made capable rim protectors in both Daniel Theis and Robert Williams.

Why the Chicago Bulls do it

Kemba Walker by himself changes the direction of this franchise–particularly after the season he just had in Boston. He turned out to be a massive locker-room upgrade for the Cs over Kyrie Irving, and the culture seemed to change for the better.

If he could do that and the Bulls can acquire two first-round draft picks, well I’ll be, the Bulls may have found their most reliable point guard since a prime Derrick Rose.
