The Boston Celtics were recently reached out to by the Chicago Bulls about a potential deal for Kemba Walker. The Houdini looks to make 3 deals that can land the All-Star point guard in Chi-town.

NBA trade season is all about reading between the lines. Recently, there were reports from the Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor that both confirmed and denied rumors of the Boston Celtics potentially trading Kemba Walker to the Chicago Bulls this offseason:

"“With Kemba, I think you look at Boston’s history with guys who have had injury issues (e.g. Isaiah Thomas), especially guys heavily reliant on their athleticism and their burst and their speed like Kemba is, I’m sure they would err on the side of caution with a guy like that. So it makes sense to listen to offers, but right now, as of 2:30 in the afternoon (ET) on Tuesday, there’s no expectation of a deal. But these can always happen quickly.”"

Who knows what the exact deal may end up becoming if it ends up happening it all.

Regardless, the Houdini is going to take our best stab at coming up with 3 variations of a Walker-Bulls union:

Why the Boston Celtics do it

The #4 pick in the NBA Draft could help the Cs replace Kemba Walker with a cost-controlled talent with far less wear and tear on his body. They can go for a big-man such as James Wiseman or Onyeka Okongwu in the top-5 if they trust Marcus Smart to handle ball-duties…or they can continue to try to move up to draft LaMelo Ball, who is easily the best point guard in the draft.

Thaddeus Young and Tomas Satoransky have somewhat of an outside shot at starting in Boston, but either would be a steadier hand than anyone the Cs had in the playoffs playing second unit minutes.

Cristiano Felicio is basically salary filler.

Why the Chicago Bulls do it

Really to land Kemba Walker without giving up their core pieces. Grant Williams comes with him as a package deal after the two quarantined together, while Carsen Edwards and Vincent Poirier serve as throw-ins.
