Boston Celtics: 4 realistic trades Cs could make this week
By Mark Nilon
The trade moratorium is now lifted, which means the Boston Celtics could be well on their way to making some moves in the coming days.
Trade season is finally among us, Boston Celtics fans! Once the clock strikes noon today the league’s trade moratorium will come to an end, meaning pre-draft deals could be all the rage right off the bat.
Thus far into the offseason, the Cs have been intertwined with a bevy of trade rumors, as they appear to be interested in making some moves prior to the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
Should they wish to strike early on in the new league trade period, there are 4 realistic packages that can be put together to get them involved in the festivities:
Realistic trade for the Boston Celtics No. 1) A trade up with the Knicks
One of the simplest trades the Boston Celtics could make is to package together all 3 of their first-rounders and move up in the 2020 NBA Draft — something they reportedly are interested in doing.
Another rumor that has circulated is that the New York Knicks may be interested in trading down in the draft from their current position at No. 8 overall.
Seems like a match made in heaven, no?
One draft prospect Boston seems infatuated with is Auburn wing, Isaac Okoro, who typically is found within the 7th to 10th overall pick range in a majority of mock drafts.
If these rumors are actually based in truth, and Danny Ainge wants to nab himself the 19-year-old stud, this proposed trade could prove to be the best way to accomplish just that.
