There are going to be some departures in the offseason, so brace yourselves Boston Celtics fans. The Houdini predicts where those departees are likely to land.

It’s going to be an offseason of change…and it should be rapid change at that. The NBA has officially announced the return of (most importantly) the Boston Celtics and the rest of the association, and the offseason calendar is going to quickly fill out:

With trades and opt-outs coming in the next few days, there could be a flurry of departures from 2019-20 Cs.

Here are the likely landing spots for those most likely to say goodbye to Boston:

F Semi Ojeleye – Detroit Pistons

Semi Ojeleye is not likely to secure anything close to a monster payday after averaging three points and two rebounds per game. His 38 percent 3-point conversion rate is something that may peak teams’ interests, though.

The Detroit Pistons have always gone after bulkier players with the potential to dominate defensively. It is what they were built on in the 1980s when the “Bad Boys” ran amuck on Michael Jordan and the rest of the Eastern Conference.

Ojeleye can be a stretch-four in a five-out offense with Blake Griffin at the center spot, or he can be the team’s primary backup to Sekou Doumbouya on the wing. Either way, there is a role for Ojeleye in the Motor City.
