The Gordon Hayward rumors continue to circulate, as Air Alamo recently concocted two trades where the Boston Celtics send their wing to the Spurs.

Over the past several months, there has been a lot of speculation over what the union between the Boston Celtics and Gordon Hayward will turn into this offseason.

While many have spent their time anticipating that the former All-Star will opt-in to the final year of his $127 million contract, recent reports suggest that he may be looking for a fresh start away from Beantown.

With this, the media has been having themselves a field day as they’ve been coming up with new ways in which the two parties could part. One of the most common methods of a hypothetical split is via the trade route, where there have seemingly been hundreds of ideas created.

One of the most recent landing spots for Hayward that we here at HH have seen is San Antonio, where our sister site Air Alamo compiled two packages that would land them the former All-Star.

Trade No. 1)

Trade No. 2)

While the idea of LaMarcus Aldridge coming to Beantown is one that’s been scoffed by the Houdini many times in the past, should any of these packages become a reality it’s obvious that the second trade would be the most beneficial to the Celtics.

Writer Ethan Farina’s reasoning for why such a deal would make sense for Boston reads as follows:

"The Celtics have three first-round picks in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft and they need precisely none of them. They’ve already got a championship-caliber roster and have young players sitting on the end of their bench waiting for playing time. Bundle a few picks together with Marcus Smart and go get the best rim protector in the league. This is Boston going all-in. There’s a slim chance that they’ll be able to retain Tatum, Brown, Kemba Walker, Gobert, and Aldridge after this year but with those five on the team, they should be the heavy favorites to come out of the East. And maybe capturing a title could entice Gobert to take a bit of a discount to remain with his new team."

The Boston Celtics pursuing the Jazz star is nothing new to the Houdini. In fact, just a few months back we discussed a specific deal involving Gobert that we believe could make the team instant title contenders.

It would appear Farina believes the acquisition would have such an impact as well.

What say you Celtics fans?
