Ring casher the Boston Celtics could pursue No. 2) Danilo Gallinari

Danilo Gallinari is a name that you’ll likely be seeing attached to the Boston Celtics — not just by us, but by the media as a whole — for a large portion of this offseason or perhaps just until he officially signs somewhere.

Despite finding himself putting up impressive averages of 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 40.5 percent shooting from deep in 2019-20, having a large impact on the immensely overachieving Oklahoma City Thunder (second highest box plus-minus on team behind MVP candidate Chris Paul), and only being 32-years-old the Italian-born baller himself recently stated that he’ll be prioritizing winning a championship when deciding where he’ll sign in free agency this year over securing a large pay-day.

"“Is playing for the NBA Championship more important than a contract? Yes. At this time, yes. I’m not twenty anymore.”"

Being that the Boston Celtics could find themselves losing their own starting forward in Gordon Hayward this offseason, as he is rumored to be considering turning down the final year of his contract, Gallinari could prove to be a fantastic acquisition in many different ways, specifically as a sound replacement at the three.

His 12-years of experience, sound scoring touch (averages 16.2 points on 38 percent shooting from deep for his career), and big-bodied physique (6-10, 225-pounds) would be an absolute blessing to have within this Boston Celtics starting rotation.

Minus his lacking facilitating abilities, the essentially self-proclaimed “ring chaser” possesses virtually the same game as Hayward and could serve as a fantastic replacement if need be.
