Isaac Okoro

The Auburn product Isaac Okoro could be a great pro based off of the comparisons he has garnered from Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com:

"At various points during this process, sources have compared Okoro to Jaylen Brown and Andre Iguodala. In his lone season at Cal, Brown shot 43.1% from the field, 29.4% on 3s and 65.4% from the foul line. Those numbers look similar, don’t they? Brown has progressed nicely in the NBA. After a few years of development, he’s one of the best young two-way players in the Eastern Conference."

Garnering comparisons to the third best player on the Cs seems like a lofty–and potentially gun-jumping–claim. Part of what makes Brown such an appreciated tertiary star in Boston is the journey and professional growth he underwent in his first four years in the league.

We will see if Okoro could even have that sort of staying power. Remember, Josh Jackson does not have a guaranteed job in the NBA and was the #4 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. That he is compared to a 2016 top-3 pick and a former Finals MVP and perennial sixth man of the year candidate during the pre-draft process is nothing if not extremely encouraging.

If he could come close to either of those players, he would be worth giving up late first-round picks for.
