DeMarcus Cousins

After injuring himself last summer working out, DeMarcus Cousins saw another season go by without making a tangible step towards being the player that was set to cash out to the tune of over $200 million once upon a time with the Sacramento Kings and then New Orleans Pelicans.

This summer represents somewhat of a last chance for Cousins after he failed to show he could overcome the inefficiency that usually comes alongside a serious injury to a lower extremity. Now coming off of a ruptured Achilles tendon and a torn ACL in consecutive years, the former All-NBA center should be hunting for a non-guaranteed camp invite.

The Boston Celtics should consider offering him one.

Robin Lopez

The Milwaukee Bucks were not the championship overlord most had them pegged to be despite the electric pre-game chemistry the team routinely showcased. Anyone who hasn’t seen a viral video of the team imitating WWE superstars needs to head to the nearest Twitter search bar and clear that issue up pronto.

Robin Lopez was a fine hand for Milwaukee, but he may have more use on a Boston team that lacked a reliable veteran backup in the postseason. Enes Kanter couldn’t prove to be that given his defensive woes.

Nerlens Noel

Things never quite worked out for Nerlens Noel the way they were supposed to. After tearing his ACL in his freshman year at the University at Kentucky, Noel fell down draft boards and ended up on the “Trust the Process” Philadelphia 76ers, one of history’s most hopeless eras of professional basketball.

He has since recovered from squandered expectations to become a steady hand in both Dallas and Oklahoma City. His bounce and rim protection would be welcome on a Cs team that can use more athleticism at the pivot spot.
