Boston Celtics: 3 second-chance players Cs should target this offseason

Despite their lacking of financial flexibility, the Boston Celtics could still be in the market for some roster additions., specifically in the form of second-chance players.

When we say the Boston Celtics are one of the best franchises in the NBA, both past and present, we mean it.

Whether it be their 17 championship banners, the plethora of hall of famers that have donned the green and white threads, or their current placement amongst title contenders heading into the 2020-21 season, the shamrocks by no means find themselves short in the accolades department.

Because of this, they are simply revered by the masses and media outlets as one of the higher-class organizations this league has to offer, leaving fans satisfied and players developing interest in calling the TD Garden “home.”

Unlike recent years, this offseason will likely see minimal noteworthy free agency moves for the Cs, as they possess very little cap flexibility. Because of this, aside from potential trades — which is something we at HH love discussing — and via the upcoming draft, the only way the team will be adding on players to their roster in free agency is through the use of the league’s veteran’s minimum and Mid-Level Exceptions.

Over the past few months we’ve compiled many lists of players in which Danny Ainge should consider pursuing utilizing offseason trades and said contracts. From guys like Jeff Teague to, our personal favorite, Serge Ibaka we’ve brought up many already made talents that could help the Celtics from day one.
