Boston Celtics: 2 players to target using No. 14 pick

If the Boston Celtics opt to trade their 14th overall selection in this upcoming draft, there are a few players the Houdini believes they should target.

For what seems to be the millionth time over the years, the Boston Celtics, despite finding ample success throughout the season, hold high-value heading into this year’s NBA Draft.

Thanks to a few savvy moves over the past few seasons by General Manager and President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge, the shamrocks are in possession of 3 first-round picks in the 2020 draft, which marks the third time over the past five years this has been the case.

Currently, they are projected to be on the clock at picks number 14, 26, and 30. With this, many are expecting the franchise to try and fill out some of their weaker spots on the roster — such as the center position, bench scoring, etc. — by utilizing said picks and adding on young and inexpensive prospects.

Over the past several months, we here at the Houdini have even gone on to state who we believe should be on their radar for each of said picks.

That said, there is always the highly polarizing option of trading some of their capital to add on some already established NBA players to better position themselves for a run at glory as soon as the 2020-21 season.

Easily the most valuable selection they possess is their lone lottery pick at 14. With this, should they shop it around, they could nab themselves a few quality already-established players.
