Likeliest Boston Celtics departee No. 3) Gordon Hayward

Though Gordon Hayward might often find himself intertwined with the offseason hoopla involving hypothetical trade scenarios — admittedly, by ourselves as well –, in regard to players on the Boston Celtics who have been recently rumored to potentially be on the move, we find the likelihood of the forward being shipped off as lesser than the rest.

Don’t get us wrong, of all the players recently mentioned, Hayward is easily the most talented and, because of this, would warrant the biggest return package.

2019-20 saw somewhat of a rejuvenation for the 30-year-old. Through 52 games played, the veteran returned close to his former All-Star self, posting averages of 17.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep.

He proved to be one of the most efficient scorers for the shamrocks all season, the best facilitator on the team, and, with his production, likely would have been a second or third option on any other franchise instead of remarkably being the fourth option on this stacked Cs squad.

His skillset and intangibles are certainly things in which are highly coveted by many other teams across the association. Unfortunately, however, his albatross $32M contract makes finding a suitor for his services a bit more challenging, as any deal would likely need to make the finances match in the exchange of contracts.

Because of the struggles, it would likely take to part with Gordon Hayward — assuming he opts into the final year of his contract — he finds himself ranked last on this list.
