If this is the end of the line for the Enes Kanter-Boston Celtics relationship, here are 3 potential landing spots for the Turkish center in free agency.

Enes Kanter is not quite a Boston Celtics legend, even if he did proudly don the green and white while being showered by a chorus of boos at Madison Square Garden after pinning R-Truth to win the WWE 24/7 Championship during an episode of Monday Night Raw.

Yes, Kanter helped us come up with some very fun sentences over the past year to describe his hijinks in green and white. His friendships with “Mr. SexyPants” Vincent Poirier and Tacko Fall have provided endless entertainment for Cs fans and fans of camaraderie in general.

Unfortunately, when it mattered most, Kanter was not there for the Cs. Or perhaps it was the opposite. The former #3 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft could not get consistent playing time in the 2020 postseason even after much of the preseason was spent worrying if the team had capable enough big men to make a deep postseason run.

They did…but Kanter was not one of those big men. Instead, Daniel Theis thoroughly outplayed him to earn the starting role and Robert Williams stole whatever minutes were left in the Eastern Conference semifinals and finals rounds.

Now, rumors have it that Kanter could opt out of his $5 million player option for the 2020-21 season to pursue a new deal in free agency. If that is the case, where might he land?
