2. Boston Celtics

While the pecking order for the Cs appears to be pretty clear–with Jayson Tatum as the clear lead dog and Jaylen Brown being his most important supporting player–a major deal can swing things in a very different direction.

A target like Giannis Antetokounmpo or Damian Lillard can give Brad Stevens second thoughts on how he views his current pecking order. The Celtics have the draft capital to pull off a move for just about any player that would hit the trade block.

Boston is among the most attractive landing spot for any kind of star, especially one that could concede touches in a way that doesn’t disrupt the overall flow of the offense. A more passive off-ball scorer like Paul George would be ideal for the right price.

1. Miami Heat

The Houdini can’t argue with NBA executives here, who believe the Miami Heat would be the team to beat for the services of any top star looking to leave their current situation.

The results speak for themselves. Rookies like Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn, career-journeyman like Duncan Robinson and Jae Crowder, and even old-heads like Andre Iguodala are all thriving in the Heat’s player-friendly culture.

Let’s not forget the LeBron fellow that two titles in his first three years in South Beach. It doesn’t get much better than Miami right now when it comes to being an attractive option for stars to play on.
