Boston Celtics trade target No. 1) Myles Turner

If you thought anyone but Myles Turner was going to rank in at number 1 on this list, you were sorely mistaken. Like we’ve said various times in this article alone, there are many holes within the Boston Celtics rotation that need to be filled if they wish to improve their chances of attaining the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Easily the biggest weakness on the team is their lackadaisical talent pool at the center position.

While many can argue Daniel Theis proved to be one of the most underrated starters at the pivot in the entire association throughout the regular season, once the playoffs started it was evident how weak the position actually was, especially when the team squared off against All-Star big man Bam Adebayo in the ECF.

Going up against that same frontcourt in the Conference Quarterfinals, however, Turner simply played out of his mind. Though in a losing effort as well, Indiana’s first-round ouster was certainly not the fault of their 5th-year pro.

In four games, Turner managed to post insane averages of 15.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks while shooting 56.8 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from deep while holding Adebayo to 15 points per game on just 47.9 percent shooting from the floor.

Some may argue Turner is just a younger version of Theis — the Houdini would beg to differ.

He’s easily more athletic, a more consistent and willing 3-point shooter, and could be exactly what this Boston Celtics team needs to get over the hump in the Eastern Conference.
