While the hot recent rumor is a potential swap between Gordon Hayward and Victor Oladipo, these are the 3 Pacers targets the Boston Celtics should target instead.

News of Victor Oladipo requesting a trade out of Indiana dominated the headlines this week, with Boston Celtics reporter Jared Weiss of The Athletic throwing out a potential scenario that would bring Victor Oladipo to Beantown in exchange for Gordon Hayward:

"Victor Oladipo has one year remaining on his contract with the Indiana Pacers, but he is reportedly “looking to move on” this offseason, according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic. Weiss speculated the guard could be part of a trade with the Boston Celtics, sending Gordon Hayward near his home in Indiana in a package that also includes draft picks."

While Oladipo was an elite player during the 2017-18 season, he has not yet proven capable of having sustained success following injuries. If that sounds familiar, it’s because that is the exact problem Gordon Hayward has experienced during his tenure in green and white.

Truthfully, Hayward may be a better fit in this offense, even if Oladipo is a talent upgrade. Instead, the Houdini had these other trade targets in mind. In fact, all three could potentially be had in the same deal.

Here are the 3 such trade targets from the Indiana Pacers NOT named Victor Oladipo:
