There are a few players heading into this year’s NBA Draft that the Boston Celtics may be inclined to trade up for.

Despite consistently being one of the best teams in the NBA over the past several years, the Boston Celtics have found themselves boasting a boat-load of value come draft night.

For the fifth time in seven years, the franchise finds themselves holding the rights to multiple first-round draft picks and the third time in which they’ve held three.

With these valuable assets, General Manager and President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge has managed to add some fantastic pieces to this successful bunch, including the likes of All-Star Jayson Tatum, All-Star snub Jaylen Brown, and Swiss Army man Marcus Smart. That said, even with these hits, the front office has had their fair share of misses as well — James Young, R.J. Hunter, Guerschon Yabusele, etc.

Frankly, it would appear that outside of the top-6, Ainge has struggled to gauge value in rookie prospects.

While it’s far too early to say where the team’s 2019 first-rounders fall on the aforementioned scale, it’s probably safe to say their best bet is winding up somewhere in the middle of both hits and misses.

Now, coming into the 2020 draft, Boston holds the rights to picks number 14, 26, and 30. In a class deemed as somewhat “top-heavy”, coupled with the franchise’s late-round track record, one may come to the conclusion that the Cs might be open to packaging said picks in a deal to potentially move up the draft board.

Many media outlets such as Bleacher Report have made it apparent that this might be the best course of action for the organization, and we actually agree.

That said, the Houdini believes there to be just a handful of players the Boston Celtics should consider moving up in the draft to try and nab.

Here are 3 players, in particular, who we believe to be worthy of such an ordeal:
