Boston Celtics: 3 keys to victory vs the Miami Heat in Game 6

The Boston Celtics look to keep their season alive tonight with a “win or go home” Game 6 against the Miami Heat.

Though they may have had their backs up against the wall, the Boston Celtics came out with vengeance in Friday’s Game 5 against the Miami Heat, attaining the highest point-differential victory throughout these Eastern Conference Finals (121-108) and, in turn, kept their season going.

Coming into this series, it was a widely accepted notion that the shamrocks were the favored team of the matchup. After all, they did win two of their previous three regular-season outings and finished three spots ahead of Miami in the conference standings.

However, through six games played in this best-of-seven series, it has appeared that despite Boston coming in with both overall talent and recent history on their side, the Heat have played with a fiery intensity that, more often than not, has proven to be too much to handle — hence why we see them down 3-2.

To put it simply, tonight is once again “do or die” time for the Cs.

If they win, they keep their hopes alive of becoming the 14th team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the conference finals, as they’d have forced a Game 7.

On the flip side, however, should they lose the team will have to pack their belongings, move out of the Disney bubble, and say goodbye to an unbelievably entertaining 2019-20 campaign.

I believe I speak for Boston Celtics fans, players, and personnel alike when I say it’s too early for this special team to be sent packing.

Even with the odds now stacked against them, Beantown still has a fighting chance in this series. That said, we mustn’t get ahead of ourselves, as the team must simply take things one game at a time.

This includes tonight’s pivotal Game 6.

If they wish to come away from the outing with a victory, however, and keep their hopes of a championship alive, they’ll certainly want to hone in on these 3 keys:
