Boston Celtics: 3 keys to victory vs. Toronto after devastating game-three loss

After a devastating loss at the buzzer in game-three, the Boston Celtics look to bounce back tonight against the Toronto Raptors and take a 3-1 series lead.

Coming into this matchup between the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors, no one believed it would be a cake-walk for either squad. With both teams rolling out two All-Stars, a supporting cast that simply is as good as anybody else’s, and two of the top head coaches the game has to offer, this was penciled in by many to be one of the most competitive series of the 2020 postseason.

After the first two games, however, expectations were relatively tempered, as Boston found themselves up 2-0 against the defending world champions and, heading into game three, looked to have all the momentum on their side.

But this is the greatest basketball league in the world for a reason and, with an amazing buzzer-beating shot by OG Anunoby, the Raptors find themselves right back in this thing as they attained their first win of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Make no mistake about it, as great as the play was, it is our belief that the Boston Celtics should not have lost this game — and Jaylen Brown would certainly agree.

But what’s done is done, and, at the end of the day, the shamrocks still have the upper hand, leading Toronto in the series two games to one.

That said, this minuscule lead means nothing when considering the quality of talent in which they have to still face, coupled with the fact that there are still two more games in which they need to win.

The Celtics are coming into tonight’s outing looking to secure their third win and, in turn, have Canada’s favorite ball club be on the brink of elimination.
