After a tightly contested first two quarters, it’s apparent the Boston Celtics need All-Star Kemba Walker to come out strong in the second half.

Though the Toronto Raptors ended the half with a buzzer beating 3-pointer by All-Star Pascal Siakam, it is the Boston Celtics who find themselves up on the scoreboard 50-48.

While there are many takeaways that could be had from their first-half performance — Jayson Tatum’s game-leading 16 points, Jaylen Brown’s 3-point shooting efficiency, Robert Williams’ all-around impact —, in the Houdini’s opinion, it is the lackadaisical offensive performance by Kemba Walker that is the biggest attention grabber on the game thus far.

Despite dropping a combined 50 points over the last two games of the postseason, Walker finds himself with just two points scored on zero for eight shooting from the floor.

His excellence throughout the 2019-20 playoffs has been invaluable for the shamrocks who, as of this writing, find themselves with an undefeated record and up 1-0 on the defending champions, the Toronto Raptors.

Prior to tonight’s tip-off we were boasting about how vital the All-Star’s offensive prowess will be in game-two, especially In the distribution department. While he has managed to rack up four assists already (and four rebounds), his inefficiency shooting from the field is severely hindering the C’s hopes of coming away from tonight with another win.

His struggles in this department are quite shocking to see, as the All-NBA point guard is finding himself in the midst of one of his most efficient scoring seasons of his career: averaging 20.4 points, 4.8 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and just under a steal per game on 43 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from deep.

Should he continue on this path of scoring obscurity in the second half, we could quickly see the lead shift in Toronto’s favor.

Let’s hope Kemba Walker can find his rhythm in the second half!
