The Boston Celtics will be without Gordon Hayward (ankle) and Javonte Green (knee) in game four of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against Philadelphia.

Holding a 3-0 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics come into today’s game four without a few wings as it looks to close the door on a series that has been one-sided early on, to say the least.

For Boston, max-contract star Gordon Hayward will continue to remain sidelined by a grade III right ankle sprain he suffered in the first game of the series, an eight-point win. The injury is not on the same ankle that he broke in gruesome fashion during his first regular-season game in a Boston Celtics uniform in 2017. That said, he has had issues with his left foot this past season, missing several games in January for a nerve issue that was potentially related to said 2017 foot injury that cost him his entire first season in green and white.

The other absence shouldn’t be nearly as notable as Javonte Green will be missing game four due to a right knee sprain. After originally being dubbed questionable for game three with the ailment, Green missed the C’s 102-94 victory and remains out for what could be the series-clinching game Sunday afternoon.

Philadelphia will also be without the benefit of several 76ers including two-time All-Star Ben Simmons, who remains sidelined with a knee ailment that he required surgery for. Simmons’ absence has all but torpedoed Philly’s chances for a deep playoff run, and the Sixers figure to give one last stand in this series without him Sunday.

To even things out, Philly–in addition to missing one of its premiere playmakers–will also be without a reserve wing in Glenn Robinson III.

The trade deadline acquisition from Golden State will remain sidelined by a left hip pointer that has kept him out of action besides two seeding games since Robinson and the 76ers entered the bubble.

Game four tips off at 1 pm this afternoon.
