No home-court advantage

There has not been a difference from game one to now in any of the setup for these playoff games. All three games have emanated from the Lake Buena Vista bubble in Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports complex.

While that is obvious and goes without saying, it is worth once again bringing up when considering how the conditions will be exactly the same in-game four as it has been in the previous three playoff games, the eight seeding games before that, and the three scrimmages before that.

Unlike other seasons, the ball won’t lie. There’s no travel, change of rims, jet lag, or any other excuse this year. It’s an empty gym with 30 professionals in uniform playing the sport they have mastered after years of practicing behind closed doors.

That the game’s most important games are being staged in the same environment as a practice is an advantage the Boston Celtics need in this series, considering the Philadelphia 76ers’ home record was a sparkling 31-4 in the regular season.

Without the home crowd at the Quicken Loans Arena in Philadelphia and Ben Simmons, it will be nye impossible for the 76ers to muster up the energy to defeat a younger and spryer Celtics team.
