Cs target No. 2) Aaron Nesmith, SG/ SF

Though he may not be as much of a “risk”, per se, as Pokuševski drafting Aaron Nesmith could be just as rewarding for the Boston Celtics.

Prior to his season-ending injury in early January, the wing was having himself quite a sophomore season for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Through 14 games played, Nesmith put up stellar averages of 23 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and just under a block per game while shooting 51 percent from the field and a whopping 52 percent from deep.

He proved capable of hitting both wide-open shots as well as when completely smothered by an opposing team’s defense, which bodes well for his shooting efficiency to transition over well to the next level.

Add these attributes to the fact that he has the perfect size (6-6, 213 pounds), strength, and speed to fit the mold of a modern-day NBA wing and the Boston Celtics have themselves an impressive prospect to consider scooping up at this point in the draft, especially if they look into addressing their lackluster secondary scoring production that haunted them during the 2019-20 regular season — ranked 29th in points, 28th in 3-point percentage, and 20th in offensive rating.

In my humble opinion, they really should do this during the draft, and Nesmith could be the type of flair and flavor their bench needs.
