Team No. 3) Boston Celtics

Yes, while Bleacher Report does have a point in that Jaylen Brown has the potential to be a team’s number one option and, in turn, a superstar somewhere else, we at the Houdini still stand strong on the idea that the Boston Celtics offer him the best chance of success moving forward with his career.

Luckily for fans of the organization, Boston is where he’ll remain barring any unforeseen events.

Though he had been having a career year throughout the 2019-20 season already, in the Disney bubble he has managed to become even more of a menace to opposing teams and, for the most part, the team’s most consistent producer.

Currently, through six games played, Brown is finding himself averaging 21.7 points, seven boards, and 1.3 steals per game on 45 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from deep.

Not even into the first year of his extension and already, alongside the likes of Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker, he has the shamrocks legitimately in the running for the Larry O’Brien trophy in 2020.

And, yes, B/ R went on to talk about how Brown has struggled to “stand out” offensively with the fact that Walker, Tatum, and Gordon Hayward are all there, thus crafting the argument that “on another team, his offensive numbers would shine through” but, what about if, say, Hayward leaves come the conclusion of this — or more likely next — season? Would this not clear space for him to become more of a noticeable offensive impact on the team, should Hayward and his scoring skills come off the roster?

A legitimate argument could be made that Brown was an All-Star-snub this season, and a reported rumor is that a big factor was the fact that the voters believed having three players from the Boston Celtics make the cut “would’ve been too many.”

He managed all of this on such a stacked team. In a few years time, it’s hard to believe his role won’t increase with the franchise and, in turn, so will his stardom.

In the end, the most likely place Jaylen Brown will end up reaching superstar status is right where he belongs: in Boston.
