Player Cs should have on their radar No. 1) Brandon Clarke

The inclusion of Brandon Clarke on this list is heavily contingent on whether or not the Memphis Grizzlies make the playoffs or not. If they do, it would be incredibly smart to keep this young core fully intact moving forward.

However, if they don’t, perhaps they’ll want to make some changes this offseason to better the roster fits around their two main pieces in Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. As things currently stand, what with their 0-3 slide in the bubble while the Portland Trailblazers are seemingly clicking at the right time, it appears missing out on the postseason is very realistic.

With this in mind, the team could theoretically engage in trade talks — as its historically been hard to lure free agents to Memphis — to bolster their team, and Clarke, despite proving to be a solid young talent, could be a player who would bring them the best return packages.

Through 53 outings, the rookie power forward finds himself boasting averages of 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and just shy of a block per game on 62 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep in 22 minutes a night.

Currently without a first-round pick in this year’s draft, a team like Boston — the reason for their lack of draft capital — could theoretically entice them with a package consisting of a pick in the upcoming draft, along with the likes of the C’s 2019 lone lottery pick Romeo Langford.

Sure, on the surface it seems like a steep price to pay, but Clarke has already proven himself to be a fine player in this league on both ends of the ball and is still just 23-years-old. With their need for improvements in the frontcourt, it might be wise to look into acquiring someone of his talents.
