Based on rumors, the Boston Celtics may pursue a few players by way of trade this offseason. We’re here today to deem said players as worthy or not of the team’s pursuit.

I know it may feel like a dream but, fortunately, it’s not: Boston Celtics basketball is officially back! Now two games into the season, the team looks to be in the midst of shaking off the expected rust that cultivated over their four-month-long hiatus and have their sights set on pursuing banner number 18 by season’s end.

Thanks in large to their unbelievable core consisting of Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, and Marcus Smart — all five of which ranked within ESPN’s top-50 players in the Disney bubble (Boston was the only team to have five) — the team finds themselves placed within the upper-echelon of NBA title-favorites in 2019-20.

However, just because a team is good, that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t strive to try and get even better. A way for a franchise to do this during the offseason is either through the draft, free agency, or via the trade route.

This last option is why we’re here today.

Being the shamrocks are one of the most storied franchises in the NBA, it’s never shocking to see their name attached to some of the game’s most polarizing talents who find themselves in trade rumors.

Frankly, the league’s rumor mill just keeps spinning, and there’s a current crop of players that have recently found themselves intertwined with the likes of the shamrocks.

Today, we play a game we like to call “Pass or Pursue” where we discuss whether or not the Celtics should sit out on trade talks for one of these players, or if they should actively try to acquire them.

So, without further adieu, let’s get started:
