Boston Celtics basketball is officially back tonight, as they’ll be squaring off against the Milwaukee Bucks in game one of their eight seeding game schedule.
Excited likely doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling you have knowing that meaningful Boston Celtics basketball is just a mere hours away.
Though they’ve already played in three scrimmages, tonight marks the first time in over four months that the outcome of a game will actually count towards their regular-season record and, in turn, could have impacts on their upcoming postseason.
Currently seen as a dark horse contender to win it all in 2019-20, the shamrocks come into the regular-season resumption with a 43-21 record, ranking them third in the Eastern Conference, fifth in the NBA, and have a 14/ 1 chance of walking away with the Larry O’Brien trophy come season’s end (according to BetOnline.ag).
However, before they can embark on such a journey, they’ll need to get through the upcoming eight seeding games; that starts tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Considered to be the favorites to take home the NBA title this year, the Cs start off their season resumption with quite possibly the biggest challenge any team could possibly face.
With the likes of reigning, and most likely the 2019-20 MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, and George Hill rounding out their core, coupled with the reigning NBA Coach of the Year Mike Budenholzerm, it’s easy to see why they are perceived as such a troubling squad.
That said, the Boston Celtics are certainly no slouches in regard to their own menacing core — Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart — as well as their coaching status — Brad Stevens — and, in turn, we personally see them as the biggest threat to dethroning the Bucks should they meet in the playoffs.
Again, before we can get ahead of ourselves with postseason talk, the Cs will need to take things one game at a time during this final regular-season stretch.
In order for them to come away from game one victorious, there are three specific keys the team will need to hone in on:
