It would be quite the get if Danny Ainge could turn Kemba Walker into two starters. The Orlando Magic have plenty of talent, but they all interlap with their talents. Nikola Vucevic is the only known commodity that can perform at an All-Star level, but he is several years older than the Magic’s potential future stars in Jonathon Isaac and Mo Bamba.

He is an immediate upgrade to any big that Brad Stevens currently deploys and that shouldn’t even be seen as a knock on Daniel Theis, who has been a fine starter for the C’s in a season they rank in the top five in wins, point differential and defense.

Meanwhile, Markelle Fultz has finally found some footing in Orlando after a tumultous start to his career in Philadelphia. While it wouldn’t be ideal to be playing on his third team in four seasons, the Boston Celtics represent the best possible team to grow alongside.

Fellow 2017 draft classmate Jayson Tatum would serve as the undisputed offensive fulcrum, and the athleticism of a Fultz-Brown backcourt would make the lineup a scary team in transition. Point guard whisperer Brad Stevens would have the undisputed #1 pick of just three years ago with the chance to bring out the best in the Washington product.

If the Magic aren’t competitive during the upcoming playoffs, a change will have to be made. Given Walker’s familiarity with Steve Clifford from their Charlotte Hornets days, the fit would be ideal down in the bubble host city.
