Jaylen Brown best case scenario: Jimmy Butler/Victor Oladipo

The best-case scenario for Jaylen Brown is an All-Star and a leader. He is already a 20 point per age scorer, but he is not yet an All-Star. Given his athleticism and pedigree as one of the best prospects of his entire high school class, Brown is pretty clearly scratching the surface of how great he could be.

Ideally, Brown can reach the level of being the best player on any of the league’s 30 franchises. It’s unlikely he can surpass Tatum, but trajectories change and careers pivot in a split second for any number of reasons.

Given his athleticism and shot-making ability (he shot 40 percent on 3-pointers in 2017-18), Brown could replicate Victor Oladipo‘s best season in 2017-18 where he averaged 23 points, six rebounds and five assists in a season where he took LeBron James‘ Cavaliers to seven games.

Similarly, Jimmy Butler‘s 2016-17 campaign with Chicago (24 points, six rebounds, five assists on 46/37/87 shooting) is attainable if Brown could progress as a facilitator. While he is averaging a career-high in dimes this season, said career-high is a mere two assists per game.

Now that he is a solidified starter he will have plenty of time to become a more complete player.
