Heading into the postseason, there should absolutely be no rumblings of tweaking the starting lineup because, in short, they’ve been exceptional throughout the 2019-20 campaign.
Holding a winning percentage of .625 when all in the starting rotation, this unit of Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, and Daniel Theis is clearly the one the Boston Celtics should lean on the most, as it’s evident it has brought them the most success.
Realistically rolling out four players who can just as easily buy a bucket on ball as they can in catch-and-shoot situations off it, the scoring punch this unit provides will be a problem for virtually any opponent they wind up facing in the postseason.
Boasting an offensive rating of 121.1 and a defensive rating of 108.5, alongside two All-Stars, an arguable All-Star snub, a former All-Star, and an underrated starting big who can space the floor and block shots, it’s apparent this lineup has a great impact on both sides of the ball and, just like they were throughout the regular season, should be used extensively during the postseason.
