Jayson Tatum

It seems only fitting that when choosing a player to represent your organization in a H-O-R-S-E tournament you’d want the person who represents it during the actual season as well, no? Frankly, there appears to be no better representative for the Boston Celtics than current face of the franchise, Jayson Tatum.

The entire 2019-20 season has bestowed career highs for Jayson Tatum seemingly all across the board: boasts averages of 23.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals and just shy of a block per game on 45 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from deep.

The 22 year old achieve accolades such a Eastern Conference Player of the Month for February and was bestowed the honor of being named an All-Star for the first time in his very young career.

If anyone should be first in the pecking order to represent the Celtics organization in any individual tournament, it should be Tatum.

With his size (6-8 with a 6-11 wingspan), freakish athleticism and incredible knack for scoring the basketball it’s evident that of all the players on the C’s current roster Tatum would have the best odds of matching someone’s shot while also being crafty enough to create his own.

In order to win, typically speaking, you want the ball in the hands of your best player. This idea should also hold true when taking part in a league-wide H-O-R-S-E tournament.
