With a reported televised NBA-level H-O-R-S-E tournament in the works, we here at the Houdini will discuss who would be the best players to represent the Boston Celtics in the festivities.

Though it’s only been about a month since we last enjoyed live action Boston Celtics basketball, somehow it’s felt like an eternity. Now, as the days pass by, it appears more and more likely that we’ve seen the last of the 2019-20 NBA season, as reports indicate that a return to action for this year’s campaign seems “difficult” to imagine.

However, though the regular season seems unlikely to return to action, it does not mean the decision makers of the league aren’t concocting ideas of how to give us — the fans — our fix of new basketball content.

Recently, we saw the league launch a players-only NBA 2K tournament which, let’s face it, was an underwhelming event at best. Now, it appears they are coming up with another idea: a televised H-O-R-S-E competition among players that would be broadcast on ESPN.

No, we’re not joking.

It’s not exactly clear as to how it would wind up working, so at this point in time all we can really do is play the guessing game and think of who we’d love to see representing our favorite franchises in this tournament.

In regard to the Boston Celtics, we’ve compiled a list of three players we could envision representing the organization if this tournament ever happens:
