Marcus Smart has tested positive for COVID-19

When the news of positive tests for the Coronavirus first came out, it centered around the Utah Jazz and their two top players in Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. Eventually, Christian Wood was named as a positive case and the floodgates further opened from there.

Soon, four Brooklyn Nets tested positive for the pandemic. Kevin Durant became the most prolific case. Four Los Angeles Lakers eventually tested positive.

Then, the worst case scenario happened…a member of the Boston Celtics tested positive. That player was none other than Marcus Smart.

As the heart and soul of the C’s, it’s hard to realize how urgent this virus is. No one is invincible, even a player who has laid his body on the line for the past six seasons.

Luckily, he was asymptomatic and should be fine.
